Heads & Tails (Conceptual Project)
This project was a self-study that utilized tools and skills learned from basic, intermediate and advanced webdesign classes.
01 | Client/Company:
Heads and Tails is a conceptual company that offers dog-owners a resource to connect with dog walkers and sitters in their area. Their mission is simple — to help make everyday life a little easier by attending to your dog’s needs when you’re busy or away.
02 | Goal/ Objective:
The objective for this project was to 1.) create a conceptual company,
2.) identify its services/ products, 3.) create a brand and identity for the company, and finally 4.) design a mobile app for new user account.
03 | Design Process:
Once the conceptual company’s services and brand identity were established, I determined the necessary information needed for a new account user. I did a little research to determine
what type of information was important for a basic online account. From there (using a user-centric approach), I focused on creating an experience that was simple, clean and friendly for the user. Each step of the process needed to be clear and logical. I created a basic wireframe using the information for Heads & Tails’ new account setup. Once the wireframe was finished, the next step was to transform the wireframe into a prototype that included typography, a color palette, images and buttons for a mobile device.
